Client: John Lewis & Partners
Project Details: The building was to be converted to sub letting office floors to external sources. The existing distribution boards were fed by a main rising bus-bar & one meter for the whole building. The initiative was to have each tenants distribution board have an electric meter installed that also connected to the BMS (building management system) so that the facilities department could remotely monitor each floors electric meter.
The scope was to keep the existing distribution boards & find a way to add new electric meter panels on each of the 6 floors. The main rising bus-bar already had fused tap offs & the existing cabling to the distribution boards was removed to make way for new H07 35mm cable & 50mm adapter flex to re feed the distribution boards. The metering panel's were custom design & made with digital display's so the tenants could also view the electricity being used on their floor.
The project was completed in under 8 days, with operations & maintenance manuals being handed over to the client.
