NICEIC is the leading voluntary regulatory body for the electrical contracting industry.
NICEIC’s Approved Contractor Scheme represents the pinnacle of contracting excellence in the UK. It is designed to maintain and publish a roll of approved electrical contractors that have been assessed against a specific set of requirements including competency to undertake electrical installation work in accordance with BS7671.
Contractors undergo a rigorous assessment process, covering a representative sample of their work, their premises, documentation, equipment, and the competence of their key supervisor staff. They are then re-assessed on a regular basis to ensure continued compliance.
As a member of the Electrical Contractors’ Association, our business is recognised as offering the highest level of quality and service in our industry.
We are regularly technically assessed and have access to technical and health and safety support, ensuring we always meet industry standards.
With the quality of our work underwritten and completion of work guaranteed, our membership provides us automatic coverage giving our clients peace of mind.
ISO 9001:2015 is the internationally recognized standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS). It is the most widely used QMS standard in the world, with over 1.1 million certificates issued to organizations in 178 countries.
ISO 9001 provides a framework and set of principles that ensure a common-sense approach to the management of your organization to consistently satisfy customers and other stakeholders. In simple terms, it provides the basis for effective processes and effective people to deliver an effective product or service time after time.
CHAS (The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) was created by experienced health and safety professionals in 1997 to improve health and safety standards across the UK.
In partnership with the Association of London Government (ALG), CHAS was a key developer of the core criteria held in the Approved Code of Practice which supported the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 (now recognised as CDM 2015) and is a founder member of SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement).
As one of the founders of third party accreditation they are not only a trusted advisor on health and safety compliance, they are an authority. They set industry benchmarks, provide assurance and reassurance, and offer best-in-class services that are easy to use and cost effective.
This health and safety legislation was created to achieve the following aims:
• To simplify health and safety contractor assessment by standardising requirements.
• To allow companies to avoid undergoing health and safety assessments for every single job.
